Tassimo Joy stopped working
Posted by private, Tue 19 Mar 2019 1:32 pm
Hi Stuart,
We use a Tassimo Joy coffee machine at work and it has gradually stopped working. It switches on fine and the coffee cup lights up orange on the device. I have cleaned all of the parts which can be taken out, and I have cleaned the disc reader. When I press the small button which mimics the lid being shut there is not red light coming from the reader as there is on our other TAS 85 machine. Do you have any suggestions as to how this can be fixed.
Thank you,
Alison

Hi Alison,
Thank you for your enquiry.
When you say that your Tassimo has "gradually stopped working", what do you mean? I wonder if the lid microswitch has been failing for a while and has suddenly given up. I'm not exactly sure about your particular Tassimo model but I think you should be able to see the red light of the barcode scanner when the lid microswitch is pressed.
Unfortunately these machines are not really meant to be repairable. It will probably be cheaper to replace rather than fix the machine.
Hope that helps,
Stuart
