this was just perfect to get mine going again.
Re the side panel removal. In the front there are 3 little grooves. These let you open the coffee maker. To open: put the coffee maker on the side with the side panel facing you. Find the middle one of the 3 little grooves. It is fairly wide to get a mid-size flat screwdriver tip into it. It will open a little bit already. Then grab the lid and the screw driver firmly and pull and twist upwards a bit.With a bit of movement of the panel somehow at least one side opens so that one can prime the rest open. It may well be that one of the bottom clips in the middle of the panel inside breaks off, but that is not an issue, it will allow easier opening in the future, though.
