I have the tassimo t40, brand new, and it's stuck on orange light, I've cleaned and cleaned the barcode sensor glass and tried the switch which is activating the barcode scanner when pressed, I'm at a total loss now, is there anything else I can try before sending it back as its still under warranty.

Only thing I can think of is to try using the Service T-disc (stored between the back of the machine and the water reservoir) and see if that is recognised. If not there's obviously something wrong. The barcode scanner shouldn't be having problems if it's a new machine. I recommend you get the machine replaced under warranty.
