Hello,

Sorry to bother you. I have stumbled upon your web site whilst trying to find a way of resolving an issue with my Tassimo T40 and I'm wondering if you can give me some advice (if not then no problem).

When I turn on the machine and lift the lid where the T Discs go the water fill light starts flashing red.
I've made sure that the water tank is filled and that the float is moving.

I turn the machine off and then try again but each time it starts flashing red again and I cannot make that all important brew.

Are you able to give me any advice?

Hello Tom,

It does sound like a problem with the water level sensor.

I think the float is magnetic and this is what the sensor will be detecting.

All I can suggest in addition to what you have already tried is 1) make sure the reservoir is correctly seated, 2) make sure the reservoir is clean inside and out just in case this is affecting the sensor detecting the magnet and 3) if you can find a magnet (not necessarily from a Tassimo machine), try moving this over the case of the machine to see if you can stop the red light flashing.
